We're one of the most educated countries on earth. Talking down to us about this is certainly a choice.
Also, given that knowledge of how AI works correlates with AI skepticism, I doubt a true 'education' program would have the effect they're looking for.

Good. Google shouldn't be able to pass the buck on false statements generated by its 'AI overviews'. Especially not when those statements are potentially defamatory or otherwise harmful.

Yup, governing is hard - but it's what they signed up for. It's our responsibility as citizens in a democracy to hold the government to account when we think they've gotten the balance wrong. Or when words don't match actions.
This is a priority for me, and I will post (and vote) accordingly.
While I expect Liberal partisans to continue arguing otherwise, it seems increasingly clear to me that the Carney government has abandoned Canada's climate goals.
