And let me emphasize: the higher standards and better math are only true on the margin. Social science in general is a shitshow at both of these things and economics is merely the first social science to get *passably* good at them.
Marginal Revolution used to be a pretty great blog. Frankly, if Cowen weren't so arrogant and self-absorbed it could easily have remained a great blog up till now. The (comparatively) higher standards and better math are real--and now being widely absorbed. "Higher IQs" is fucking self-delusion.
