I know a lot of people are bummed over this but it shouldn't be surprising considering what Stop Killing Games was asking was largely unworkable both in the practical and legal sense.
Trying to essentially usurp licensing was always going to be a complete nonstarter for major publishers

'Stop Killing Games' has failed to secure new EU legislation to keep games playable after official support has ended, despite having 1.3 million signatures
The EU says it “cannot propose a legal obligation” requiring publishers to keep games playable after they stop being sold commercially

I watched something similar about books recently. I don't think it applies exactly to games, but it's a good angle too.
I think it's this one, and if it's not, it's from the same channel:

1) Good chat about how they use generative AI
2) Follow up question is... clumsy at best
3) The developer doesn't know how to answer the non-sensical question and hesitate for a couple of seconds

We asked the Crystal Dynamics team about its use of generative AI in developing Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis. Here’s what Jeff Adams, experience director on the game, had to say.
ahem, AI CANNOT ASSIGN COPYRIGHT. YOU WILL NOT OWN THE THINGS THIS THING MAKES EVEN IF THEY TRY AND ASSIGN IT TO YOU. USING THIS WOULD TECHNICALLY BE IN VIOLATION OF 100% OF PUBLISHER AGREEMENTS I HAVE SEEN
