I'm in Zoology now, but my first undergrad was in Philosophy, with a heavy Phil. of Mind focus—and even as (then) someone with just a general interest in biology but no training past high school, it was astonishing how blithely hand-wavey (and often wrong) the philosophical literature is about it.

I mean, killed him in a fight after the man approached and insulted him. I don't think the narrative excuses this or backs down from it being obviously manslaughter at least, but the 1st amendment doesn't really come into it; neither of them were having their expression curtailed by the government.
