Parents in my constituency told me they wanted a ban on social media for under 16s, & action on gaming and live streaming
Implementation will be key, as will ensuring services become safe by design for all
But I’m pleased that with today’s announcement, the govt has listened
Good to be out and about on the doorstep in Boundary Brook over the weekend.
Thanks so much to all the local residents who opened their doors to me and @oxfordlabour.bsky.social ! 🌹
As our brave forces were planning decisive action against the Russian shadow fleet, Stephen Yaxley-Lennon was praising Russia in Moscow.
My call to the Defence Secretary for joined up action across Government to defend our country against Russia's shadow-influencing operations 👇
I am so pleased the rain stayed off for the Eid Extravaganza in Blackbird Leys Park on Sunday.
A big well done to Oxford Community Action, Oxford City Council, Oxford Health and the many volunteers who made this welcoming event such a success.
Happy sixtieth birthday to Blackbird Leys Bowls Club.
It was an honour to celebrate this milestone with the Club on Saturday.

Great to meet the @bccouncil.bsky.social yesterday alongside @coyleneil.bsky.social
It was especially lovely to meet with so many of my constituents in Westminster.
We discussed lots of great ways the local community can engage with me as their MP, and Parliament more widely.
I’m grateful to the almost 550 people in Oxford East who shared their views about children’s use of social media.
I will push for this summary of their views to be implemented.
