Implementation will be key, as will ensuring services become safe by design for all
But I’m pleased that with today’s announcement, the govt has listened

I’m grateful to the almost 550 people in Oxford East who shared their views about children’s use of social media.
I will push for this summary of their views to be implemented.
An overwhelming majority want a ban, but insist this must go alongside big changes in how platforms work.

Many Greater Leys are still struggling to get around Oxford by bus, most recently due to the loss of the 3A service. This is unacceptable.

It was fascinating to visit the Hedena Health surgeries in Bury Knowle and Barton and learn about their innovative approaches to supporting residents’ health and wellbeing.
Their ‘proactive care team’ is breaking new ground, especially for people who normally find it hard to access healthcare.
I am so pleased the rain stayed off for the Eid Extravaganza in Blackbird Leys Park on Sunday.
A big well done to Oxford Community Action, Oxford City Council, Oxford Health and the many volunteers who made this welcoming event such a success.
The weather may have been a bit soggy but there was a lovely atmosphere at the third Magdalen Road Summer Festival on Saturday!
