Honest question that makes me sad bc it means nobody’s reading the last chapter of their HS biology textbook. The one on ecology.
There is no “own water.” It’s all drawn from same river or aquifer we drink from.
Air pollutants from “own electricity” data centers pollute air over multiple counties.

The thing that keeps me up at night about this story is that it was so very unusual for this particular example to have come to light that you have to imagine there’s tons of these sites across Texas and around the US
We haven't formally launched yet, but this issue — the state permitting oil and gas companies to dump (nominally) treated fracking fluid and produced water on Texas farmland and next to creeks and rivers — was egregious enough that we started early.
If you think Texas has the potential to not suck — to have clean water, ample swimming holes, cheap pollution-free energy, and a political system not controlled by people wrecking our future for personal gain — check out our new campaign at Future Heist.
