100 million barrels of oil - well a standard ULCC is 2.5 million barrels of oil.
So 100 million is approximately 35 to 40 ULCCs worth. In a month?
Pre-war we could expect 250-300 VLCCs and or ULCCs a month to transit.
So this is celebrating a trickle at best

He either means that they are taking oil out of the Gulf - and is confusing Iran with every other oil producing country.

Either way. He is clearly not all there…

This may be an isolated incident.
But the indications from the Houthis and Iran is that they will continue to ramp-up activity if there is no meaningful ceasefire in Lebanon.
If this continues - this will be the opening of a new front for the USA to deal with as it affects shipping and trade.
This is right now in the Strait of Hormuz.
So a fast-boat attack in B ab al-Mandeb and now an unexplained fire in Hormuz.
Seafarers are in extreme danger still, with little sign of relief.
These are peaceful people, at work. They deserve more from the UN and IMO to protect them!!

I have no idea what to make of this.
On the one hand, it is an abhorrent statement, threatening an entire country and more evidence of Trump being a thin-skinned, tantrum-throwing toddler.
On the other hand, it could just be more bluster and nonsense.

But Iran are saying that explosions have been heard in Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz again in the last hour.
I am trying to see if anyone else is reporting this or confirming it - no statement I can find from CENTCOM on it.
