Of course its not just all fancy dresses, I'm sure there's glossy butlers serving, there'd be some people stuck posing as statues, and what fancy party like this would be complete without "horse" drawn carriages? The lines are blurry between guest and staff as all are stuck in performance...
And it really is performance. All these people all fully sealed in their roles, all for a host who is delighted by any reaction. Struggle against? Well that's adorable! Lean into it? What a lovely team player!
