Even at the pundit level, if what you want is a party that hates trans people and women, that valorizes a kind of rural white masculinity, and that organizes around contempt for all things urban, educated, and liberalā¦ well, they already have that, and maybe you should just be on the side youāre on.
I grew up in Northern Ireland during the conflict. I was nearly murdered once and hospitalised twice. I covered the Troubles as a reporter. Be in no doubt: this is frightening & real. Violence in Northern Ireland is of a type that folk in England, Scotland and Wales donāt understand. This scares me.
Given the casualty rates in Ukraine I think Russia is actually on pace to be the first country to fully eliminate their masculine population.
