I thought I'd make a thread of some of the things that people who care about trans rights people and human rights could do to help. We really need more cis people stepping up.
• Post about it sometimes. Make sure people who see you online know that you're aware of what's going on, and you care.
106 years ago today, on May 7th, an undergraduate at Christchurch College, Oxford, drank a glass of port then left through the main gates for a walk. I've been thinking about him, & his walk, for years now. It's taken a long time for me to figure out why - why I've kept returning, near obsessed.
Hexwood is the one Diana Wynne Jones novel that I initially gave up on… so inevitably, eventually it become one of my very favourites 🌳 it confirmed for me that there is magic at the roots of every wood. Very excited to listen to this epic episode of @eightdaysofdiana.bsky.social
Being left wing is a constant exercise in disappointment. Not only because you hardly ever get what you want politically but because to be left wing means that you believe human beings are capable of being better and they will really, REALLY test that belief.
No book in the history of the world has made a child gay or straight or trans or cis. But they have provided hope and a future for those that already are. But of course, under Reform, all hope must be crushed.
