Did u know? It's been a great summer for pollinating beetles. Some beetles are carnivorous, like Ground Beetles, but lots are veggie & enjoy getting their protein, pollen-style, like these wonderful Thick-legged Flower Beetles. Leave your lawn to grow & you'll get lots of these beauties too. 🌿🌱🇬🇧🌱🌍🪲
Signed...Please do the same folks...🙏
Put up Swift boxes, if you can. It'll help these wonderful birds so much.... 🙏🐦⬛
2. Every year, the UK receives trillions of migratory insects, who spend their lives travelling to & from our shores
So,take a closer lk at the insects in yr outside space & appreciate them for their amazing lives-whether they're stay-at-home souls/spend their short lives traversing seas & mountains.
Did u know? Damselflies are amongst the most colourful insects in our gardens, but when they first emerge, after developing as nymphs in water for a couple of years, their exoskeleton is really soft & along with that, their colour is very milky too. This stage is called "teneral". 🌿🌱🇬🇧🌱🌍🪲
Did u know? One of THE best things about living on Minchinhampton Common is seeing the wonderful grazing cattle who wander freely around the village from May to October. Such great neighbours to have. I've lived here 22 years & every time, I get a thrill when they pass just outside my house. 🌱🌿🇬🇧🌱🌍🐮
