Albarn ended the show by saying they weren't there for profit but for socialism. Not sure that tallied with the £80 Gorillaz themed football shirts on sale in the merch shop...
The one thing that struck me is that the concert was not overtly political. Albarn mentioned multiculturalism a few times, but the collaborations veered adjacent to Paul Simon than the activist music that has broken through more recently. There were no references to Free Palestine for example.
