Does anyone know why people use em dashes? I get that it's a slightly longer pause than a comma, but most of the time I see people using them either in places commas would go or to add emphasis to things. I'm being an asshole but feels like it betrays immature writing? Tell me how I'm wrong, please.
I'm pretty ambivalent to gender and sexuality because it's just so much work to enforce anything related to that. It's so much effort to change something that doesn't really bother me. I'd rather play video games and watch the same youtube video for the 15th time.
