Consider the study as the first single of my upcoming album (PhD thesis) on people's economic preferences for the natural environment, and how to design policies that account for these preferences. Watch this space, heh :) 5/5

We find that the value of preventing ecosystem damage did change over the five-year period, but not dramatically. Importantly, most of the variation over time is explained by changes in people's underlying preferences (as opposed to changes in age, income, or other observable characteristics). 3/5
