I will say re: GIMP that Affinity is extremely useful on Linux these days
it's actually an incredibly specific and pig-ass-ignorant view of what "usability" is, or how "doing things" works
people don't drive their cars by pushing buttons with pictures on them. it's an entire sequence of linked, overlapping skills & behaviors. whole mind and body.

I'm not giving this troll the attention they want by tagging them, but I just want to say that this perspective on usability is toxic and leads many people into bad software situations with paid providers.
