So while I wanted to point out that the statement wasn't a major "factual error" on SBC's part, it was reasonable for your to request that I tighten up the language, which I have done.

Update on the tragic fatal shooting shooting of a man, 37, riding a Divvy on Tuesday around 12:30 AM near Jackson/Columbus in Grant Park. This morning News Affair told us, "Detectives are speaking to a person of interest."

Halsted has PBLs in other parts of town.
Chris Buie-Gentry at 00:57: "We've talked about Halsted being [an issue] for years... and every single time CDOT leaders and City leaders say you're right, we really should do something about that... I don't want to wait until I'm 55 to have safe streets."
A CBGN! organizer and a protester indicated they want PBLs on Halsted in BP, when Halsted already has them elsewhere. So it wasn't a big leap to write Bike Grid wants them "on the entire length of Halsted." 1/X

In addition to that statement, somebody on the CBGN! Bike Protest for a Bike Grid, sure, not necessarily an official CBGN! spokesperson, indicated they feel Halsted needs protected lanes, by chalking "Not Protection" on the Halsted paint-only lanes.
And at around 2:00, Buie-Gentry says "People deserve the right to... get groceries... without the fear of becoming yet another death on our streets." Presumably he's referencing the tragedy on Halsted, which would have been prevented by PBLs.
