Me: (Hearing my husband walking around the house talking to someone) Are you having a conversation with @benjaminepark.bsky.social? Hubs: (while playing one of Ben’s deep dives) Yes. Yes I am. He’s a smart guy. I need him to know that I approve. Me: Ok. He’s my Bluesky buddy. I’ll let him know. 😂
Ha! Doozers!!!
Listening to The Prince of Egypt soundtrack while I clean the house today for… reasons. I don’t believe in God or the Moses story any longer, but if I did, today’s weather report for DC would definitely look like a grand smiting from above. I am here for it.
A much needed reminder. Rest is resistance. I’m going to take this advice and read a book poolside for the rest of the afternoon. It’s called self-care.
This is what a theocracy looks like, in case you didn’t know. Oh and he’s a Federalist Society member, like Mormon Prophet Dallin H. Oaks and the current president of the BYU law school, David H. Moore, who helped write Project 2025 BEFORE he was appointed. So… connect the dots.
I am hereby declaring forever more that anything having to do with rodeos, the old west, cowboy boots or hats, pioneers, covered wagons, prairie dresses, trad wives, fighting matches of any kind, nascar, raw milk, beef tallow, and the color red are forever coded and tainted. What did I forget?
Oh now they want a 12 hour stay because of “weather.” Uh… they’re under a roof and it is no longer raining. This is comically absurd.
Also, just to make it very clear, Deseret News is owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Per their own website:
Someone explain to me why they put the letters up quite quickly with just a few little lifts, but to take them down they need a full scaffolding? Have they heard of gravity? Off is easier than on. Also, they’re in violation of the court order now… It’s past midnight.
I saw this post last night and I’ve been stewing about it ever since. Nick Shirley did untold damage to the state of Minnesota because of his inflammatory and faulty reporting. Two people died. Families were torn apart. For Deseret News to prop him and his cronies up as inspirational is unspeakable.
