/2 extra context: I rode from Seward Park to Mount Baker Beach (south to north end of Bicycle Weekends segment) & I only counted people who were in the roadway, not on the sidewalk/sidepath
The #1 reason that driving sucks: Everyone else wants to drive. Soul-sucking traffic is caused by way too many people driving at once. As the saying goes, you aren't in traffic—you are traffic. But some motorists are desperate to blame something external (ie bikes) for a problem they're causing.
