1/2 I finished reading “Salmon: A Fish, the Earth, and the History of Their Common Fate” by Mark Kurlansky. I was overwhelmed by detailed explanations of what seemed like every aspect of the life of salmon, near total destruction of their habitat by humans (and whom people chose to wrongly blame),

/2 some delicious recipes, and the various efforts over centuries to restock & restore them to the rivers of the world where they used to thrive. Really in-depth reading!

The #1 reason that driving sucks: Everyone else wants to drive. Soul-sucking traffic is caused by way too many people driving at once. As the saying goes, you aren't in traffic—you are traffic. But some motorists are desperate to blame something external (ie bikes) for a problem they're causing.
