Workers in Scotland deserve a transition that's not simply left up to big corporations. We need an actual industrial strategy featuring significant public-ownership, not privatisation!

Hey it's me! I worked in oil and gas supply chain from 2013 to 2016 and now my engineering degree gathers dust whilst I work in third sector.
Neither government, not SNP Scottish or Conservative UK, had anything in place to keep a young engineer in that career after price crash caused redundancy.

North Sea oil and gas production peaked around the turn of the century, more than 25 years ago. Employment has been in particularly marked decline since the impact of 2014 and subsequent oil price increases haven’t significantly changed that trend.
