Where are all those electeds, including the "housing champions" that stood in the way of social housing for years, now? Imagine how Seattle could have had this sooner if not for them. This is a huge win for engaged residents & a blow to the egos of plenty of electeds.

This month, À portée officially launches in Nantes. We're an organization that teaches residents how local power works & how to build their own. We believe in co-creation & participatory policymaking. Looking forward to building hope + outstanding policies w/ neighbors from across Nantes.

I know I'm just bragging at this point, but recently I was saying I don't even consider painted bike lanes as bike lanes anymore b/c there are so many elevated or concrete protected ones in my city now. It's all political will. The change starts at the ballot box.
