Even after they confessed their feelings for each other, maybe even tangoed in bed, it still took a while before Reno felt comfortable with Rude kissing him on the lips. He was so sweet and patient while proving to Reno he wouldn’t disappear the moment they finally kissed.
Canonically for Fallout AU, there’s a couple of Ghouls amongst the Boomers which is part of why Reno is fairly nonchalant with Ghoul!Rude.
