Great to stop by Councillor Tyers' town hall this week. Kim has been a strong advocate for safer communities, lower taxes, and practical solutions for the issues residents raise. More than a hundred people came out to share perspectives. Thank-you for your leadership and commitment to listening!
Events like this do real work. Public awareness shortens the gap between when someone gets into trouble and when they call for help. The Calgary area teams run some of the busiest backcountry SAR in Canada.
Last week, about 2,000 Calgary students took part in the Mayor’s Environment Expo! This free, annual event, now in its 37th year, is designed to inspire the next generation of environmental leaders.

The Province just imposed the biggest property tax increase in Calgary history, and it shows up on your City tax bill.
Calgary's increase: 1.2%.
Province's increase: 21% this year, nearly 60% in four years.
It's time for the provincial government to send their own tax bill.
With more than 100 sessions offered online and in person, students explored hands-on exhibits and learning opportunities led by City staff and community partners. They also learned about local environmental issues and practical actions they can take at school and at home.
