Numbers and diversity down a little last night, 82 specimens of 29 species #teamMoth NFY: Middle-barred Minor and Grapholita funebrana (people pay good money for the pheromone lure for that moth, including me, but this turned up to UV)
Actually 90/36 I ought to do a final around-the-trap-and-sheet sweep before posting
Disappointed that I didn't keep hold of the FUN as I don't seem to have a photo in my archives from when I caught it to lure in 2023! Dammit
Also NFY were L-album Wainscot and Lozotaeniodes formosana (unfortunately a bird had had it and there was just a single clipped wing)
#BirdOfTheDay theme today is apparently #Black (birds with mainly black plumage) an alternative theme of #Moments
Well, this Raven on Anglesey had quite a moment having stolen an egg from a cliff-side Kittiwake nest and landed not 20m from where I was sitting!
Biggest haul so far this year for me in Cambs, 18C

27 of those were Mottled Rustic
NFY: Bright-eye Brown-line, Latticed Heath, Old Lady
And, NFG: Pseudargyrotoza conwagana, the Yellow-spotted Tortrix
More deets in the ALT
