this is tangential to Uckema's point somewhat, but: tbh i tend to think that there is no such thing as an illegitimate word so long as it carries information and meets the requirements of being a word and the most important thing is what one is communicating by using it both intended and unintended
to be honest I've been hesitant to finish and release music because there is a part of me that is afraid people will look for reasons to misinterpret my work as saying wild things that I do not intend
approximately half of the accusations of "media bias" are feeling this tension and the other half are demands to be told that one is doing the right thing while pursuing Republican objectives in the face of all reliable data
there is tension between the publicly stated ideal of journalism (present true information to reader so they can make decisions and understand the world) and the editorial direction of major news sources (obscure true information in order to make the reader and writer feel erudite and even-handed)
