Despite some benefits, use of virtual review panels ensures that scientists do not travel in & around DC and see, with their own eyes, what this administration has done to staff, institutional morale, and even the physical headquarters of independent federal agencies.

ok... so, a reviewer has concerns that we used missing data techniques (we used FIML, assumptions were met; also did robustness check with multiple imputation across 24 datasets) because it involved estimating 40% of our data (two year panel).

Cohen never intended d = 0.2/0.5/0.8 to be applied across *every* field (in fact, he later regretted suggesting these thresholds). He proposed them as a last resort when no prior estimates were available. But they've become the default for interpreting results and powering new studies anyway
