How awful that people are living in these conditions.

I was looking at Berkeley temp data from last night, but this NWS page must be wrong, it says it was in the high 70s just before dawn.
I was looking because it was very warm last night (I doubt it went below 60), but it wasn't *that * warm.

The morning is heating up fast here in Berkeley -- almost 70 already, forecast to pass 80 by noon. π
Absolutely vile rhetoric coming from the DHS secretary, condoning violence on the streets of Belfast and encouraging the same in the US.
Or, in his speech style -- most racist of the racist, most xenophobic of the xenophobic.
Tom Gauld
Kilmeade to an agreeing Markwayne Mullin: "In Belfast they're standing up because their leaders have let them down. They're trying to take their country back. They want to label them as racist. All they want to be is Irish. They want Ireland back. I see a lot of the same fights here."
80s looking much more likely in SF today after all with the southerly surge (of cool, foggy air) still well south of Big Sur, running a few hours behind what models were predicting yesterday.
Already approaching 80 in the hills.
Todayβs forecast:

The two people, who officials said were breeding rats in an RV, represent Berkeley's first known human cases of leptospirosis in a decade.

Some of the hottest temperatures of the year are expected in spots on Thursday.
Already ~85F here π. Went down to the Berkeley shoreline for a few minutes. Hazy day, calm water, and no breeze to cool things off, unfortunately.
But a black oystercatcher and I both took a few moments to appreciate the tafoni. πͺΆ
