i watched bakemonogatari to break up zeta gundam and ZZ, but i've moved on to ZZ so soon enough i'll be drawing gundam fan art again
i'm enjoying it a lot, probably because i like comedy and i think the junk dealer setting is a great way to link military and civilian life
The font in question is Roger Excoffon's Calypso. You can just look it up to see it, but I also really enjoyed this video on Excoffon's whole career, so I wanted to share it. He also designed Mistral, the script font.
Billy Bat spans decades and shows comics within the comic. The very first page in Japanese actually uses Blambot fonts. But those weren't around in 1949, so we used period-appropriate fonts and hand lettering.
I designed an alien based on one of my new favorite fonts.
