I have heard MULTIPLE stories of larger studios-turned-publishers barely agreeing to fund an indie game for like 100k then turning around and dropping $1m on a trailer for it without much of a second thought it's nuts how miserly companies are with funding dev budgets these days

There is so much goddamn money in games being hoarded by a few or used extravagantly to buy good PR, instead of pay the people who do the labour We are at a point where no metric would have satisfied. They want exponential growth when we've peaked in profits. They just don't want to pay people
The implication of this "New York Times" headline is that "goy" is simply a slang term used by Generation Z now, no longer attached to antisemitic implications. I think this is not only wrong, but rather dangerous for the newspaper to be printing.
