Emergent Spin‐Glass Behavior in an Iron(II)‐Based Metal–Organic Framework Glass https://advanced.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/adfm.202517854?af=R
We love frameworks, but this time we went molecular in collaboration with our friends from @steffengroup.bsky.social
Check out Zeyu Fan’s work in @angewandtechemie.bsky.social on CPL-active chiral molecular metal-organic glasses showing intriguing thermal properties and room-temperature TADF.

Now in @chemcomm.rsc.org - the Xenon induced phase transition in ZIF-4 uncovered by solid state NMR during 129Xe adsorption. Congratulations to Tobias from the Brunner group @tudresden.bsky.social and @henkegroup.bsky.social, @wenlong-xue.bsky.social !

Meltable MOFs are unique in many ways. In our new preprint we show that you can let molten MOFs react with an organic ligand and obtain some interesting glasses. 🔍 A highly collaborative effort.

Our first step into disordered magnetism is out in Advanced Functional Materials!
We show a Fe²⁺ MOF glass with spin-glass freezing at ~14 K — magnetism driven by topological disorder. Check it out: advanced.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/...
Thanks to @dfg.de and TU Dortmund for support.
Our first paper dealing with a simple molecule landed in Adv Sci!
We show that BINAP can form chiral molecular glasses. Circularly polarised emission and quantum yield jump drastically upon vitrification.
Big cheers to the Steffen group for contributing the photophysics.

Excited about our new @jacs.acspublications.org paper
reporting the high-pressure behaviour of MOF-74-type materials 🗜️💎https://doi.org/10.1021/jacs.5c14027. The coolest part: an amine-appended MOF loses long-range order under pressure but fully regains crystallinity when the pressure is released.
Now out in Nature Chemistry, we show how alkali modifiers tune MOF glasses.
Big thanks to our brilliant collaborators at Birmingham for NMR/DFT and Bochum for atom probe tomography.
