Recommend read! Struggling to implement code/bring your thoughts on paper is what builds topic-level expertise. Great tool for everyone already on the other side of the learning journey, but what about trainees? Would I have wanted it for myself when I started out? Not entirely sure.
From the article: "So what will happen when everyone decides to ignore the insides, and just trusts the black box? What will happen when people don’t know what questions to ask because they never learned the insides of anything?"
Hello all, our lab is recruiting a PhD candidate to study how 3D genome folding impacts gene regulation in development. We're located at the Center for Integrative Genomics department of the University of Lausanne, Switzerland. Please email me if interested.

Been waiting for this! Make sure to check it out!
Adding another link. I had a similar experience with a student. The AI output looked so exciting and right that it didn't even occur to them checking whether any of it made sense. spoiler: it didn't tagide.com/blog/llm/the...
Finally got to read this. Shows just how much we don't know about TFs and how they cooperate to find their target loci. www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...
Excited to share our first story led by @martinacapriati.bsky.social! How do cells control the expression of viability genes? We find that single transcription factors can drive both chromatin opening and gene activation from densely co-bound CpG island promoters, including at essential genes
