Another thing about Star Fox (2026): the cutscenes you get after clearing Meteo pretty much confirmed my worry that all of these new cutscenes are just going to be the mission briefings from the original but made needlessly long-winded for no reason
In a 2010 interview, Shigeru Miyamoto revealed that the reason so many Mario enemies have repetitive names in Japanese (and by extension in English, e.g. Koopa Troopa, Cheep Cheep) is in honor of Takashi Tezuka, who calls himself "Ten Ten".

I've never held any animosity towards Slippy Toad in the past but when this Slippy asked me "do you need aim assist?" in response to me whiffing a bunch of shots I wanted to reach into the screen and crush him to a fine paste
At no point did I ever care what the purpose of the Cornerian base on Fichina is but Star Fox (2026) wants to make sure you know how everyone feels about it
Bro I just saw a 19 year old on twitter get a $10k run in Crazy Taxi 3, they weren't even alive when that game came out. The idea that a new Crazy Taxi game made authentically would just be this impenetrable brick wall to new players is such a frustrating stance to take.

throwback thwednesday: thinking about the old VRML Saturn Valley added to starmen.net in 2001. VRML was a sort of web 3d model viewer platform that let people make explorable 3d environments, and it Blew My Freaking Mind at the time. i spent so much time "hanging out" in this 3d saturn valley
