Tax wealth, not work.
Reduce taxes on working people.
Increase taxes on the wealth of the extremely wealthy.
Will billionaires "just leave"?
Perhaps, but their assets won't go with them if we don't let it.
You've seen the billions of dollars Trump and his family have stolen from all of us, the American people? That's just the tip of the iceberg of what his class of oligarchs has been stealing from us all for decades! It's been measured in the tens of trillions of dollars over just the last 50 years!
Our grandparents and great-grandparents lived in desperate poverty, and they made life better for us. Was it hard? Incredibly difficult. But they organized, unionized, had thousands of strikes, raised taxes on the robber barons, the billionaires of their day, and expanded the social welfare system.
Taxing the wealthy is possibly the most popular policy any candidate on the left can run on, popular, just, and effective too! If the big donors of a candidate won't let them, then we can't let that candidate represent us.
Removing regulations from the big banks, investors, billionaires & their mega corporations has not only NOT resulted in less poverty & a bigger middle class as they said it would, but it has impoverished generations & opened the door to violent fascism and dictatorship in America.
Reverse it!
Historically, people in economic desperation turn to extreme right-wing fascist dictators.
