Things are bad but they are still better than they have ever been:
30 yrs ago we lost an entire generation to disease while the world laughed
50 yrs ago you could be thrown in jail for holding your partners hand in public
80 yrs ago we were left in concentration camps while everyone else went free
How I sleep knowing that while things aren’t great for trans people right now they’re better than they ever have been and I am still afforded opportunities and a lifestyle of acceptance and love that was unimaginable to every single generation of trans people that came before me
