The arts sections of major media seem to exist primarily to heap unqualified praise on the latest releases by major pop stars. I guess they are our new pantheon, after all.
In a nutshell, my feeling about climate art is everyone desperately wants hope - understandably - but we’re still at the point where people need to grasp the severity of the crisis. Only by being brutally honest about what we ARE, not just our actions, can we generate real hope and action.
I cannot lie, there are times when I wish people who own gas-powered mowers would get sucked into their churning maw.
