The experiment aims to find out whether the conditions for the emergence of the first cells depend on gravity. As part of the mission, the team will send small incubators into space, where solutions of RNA and peptides will automatically mix and — hopefully — form droplets resembling protocells.

A built-in microscope will observe them in microgravity for several hours. The samples will then be frozen for examination after their return to Earth.
