This is what always surprises people. The ability to make deepfake nudes isn't hidden in some dusty, hard to access part of the internet. It's available in the most accessible ways like the Google Play store and the Apple App store. Anyone with a cell phone can make a deepfake nude in minutes.
The link interestingly only works on mobile. When I try to to open it on a desktop, it just takes me a YT video for Asian chicken salad. The fake Fox News segment has fake Facebook comments. It doesn't let you scroll the video (only play and pause) and warns you that the video will be deleted.
No surprise, but my father fell for ANOTHER AI-powered scam targeting the elderly. He saw an ad for something on IG. He ended up purchasing the snake oil they are selling. They made an AI manipulated video of Laura Ingram and Elon Musk. Folks, it's not even a good video.
I'm at a wedding this weekend and the bride and groom has set up one of the best drink options I've ever seen.
"We find, upon reflection, that our duty to our country has not ended ... We as Vietnam Veterans, strongly feel that the United States should cease to build memorials to death and begin to glorify life" -one of the quotes being removed for being *checks notes* too woke
Even after these women have been digitally stripped of their clothes, xAI is trying to harm them even more by removing the last bit of protection they have, their names. If their names are released, it's guaranteed they'll get harassed. It's shameful, expected behavior from xAI.
New federal and state laws are just getting started to help curtail the growing problem of AI deepfake pornography. Part 3 of my time on @pbsnews.org where I talk about legislation and policies about this issue.
This is not the first time my dad has fallen for a scam online, and unfortunately, it won't be the last. Things that look so OBVIOUS to me fool thousands of people like my father. We are leaving our seniors consistently vulnerable to scammers, w/AI accelerating the ease in which they do it.
With a $1 and 5 minutes, anyone can create a convincing non-consensual sexual deepfake. Part 2 of my time on @pbsnews.org where I talk about how widespread the technology is and who are the ones using it.
It's such a classic scam that targets the elderly, the damn URL is "healthycaresenior" and claims to reverse aging. They prey on conspiracy orientated people claiming that "big pharma" doesn't want you to know about this and that Musks' social media accounts were deleted because he shared this.
