No surprise, but my father fell for ANOTHER AI-powered scam targeting the elderly. He saw an ad for something on IG. He ended up purchasing the snake oil they are selling. They made an AI manipulated video of Laura Ingram and Elon Musk.
Folks, it's not even a good video.

New on @indicator.media: We have long known that some "face swapping" apps market themselves as deepfake nude generators. At least one of these was used in a recent case in a US high school.
But new research shows the majority of these tools do not have any guardrails against nonconsensual abuse.

The link interestingly only works on mobile. When I try to to open it on a desktop, it just takes me a YT video for Asian chicken salad.
The fake Fox News segment has fake Facebook comments. It doesn't let you scroll the video (only play and pause) and warns you that the video will be deleted.
