An old friend messaged me today... she wants to join the re-union WhatsApp group... it'll be amazing to see her again... we still send Christmas and birthday cards... and occasional letters... but haven't actually seen each other for over 30 years...
If I ruled the world... I would ban house alarms... and car alarms... their only purpose seems to be to draw attention to the fact that you have expensive possessions... protected by a noisy alarm... nobody does more than roll their eyes when they go off... and it's a very intrusive sound...
Someone has got a ridiculously loud car alarm... which sounds the horn as well as the alarm... and it's been going off for at least 15 minutes... it feels like it wants to continue... until they have a flat battery... I wish they would just sort it out...
