Followers, can anyone share a PDF of the 2025 book: "Bitter War of Memory: The Babyn Yar Massacre, Aftermath, and Commemoration" by Victoria Khiterer? It is available for download on Project MUSE, however, neither of the libraries that I have accounts with provide access via their subscriptions.
Friday marked 100 days since the launch of the 3rd TRC. 4,716 applications for truth-finding have been filed so far by victims, bereaved families, and other related parties. With the Yangju Adoptee Archive, we recently met Chair Song Sang-gyo and Standing Commissioner Kim Gwi-ok.
The 1st TRC previously investigated the massacre of civilians in the Gochang Wolrim-ri Incident in 2007, but the survivors who applied to the 2nd TRC were not included in the original investigation, which only focused on those victims who were killed.
