I did a panel earlier this year on character development, and the idea of "earned subversion," where there an "earned" payoff to keeping a characters traits very consistent for a long time, for the purpose of getting to make jokes way later on in their arc. This is my favorite example of this 😭😭

What's wilder about the artists is all of them except Vanilla Ice put out statements saying they didn't know it was w Trump's Freedom 250. If it was one artist, I'd assume they were embarrassed into saving face, but that many acts?
