If you only watch one video in which sexy models shoot green lasers out of their butts, it should absolutely be this one. Also features the best public restroom party *ever.* Thank you, Madonna, for this big gloppy slice of ridiculous awesomeness; I needed that. www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJtc...
I ignored most of the ninth inning of the Red Sox game to watch @morganrichter.bsky.social dissect the Miami Vice episode with Frank Zappa. It was a wise choice. #weaseldust
Excerpt from a best-selling YA book, which I am enjoying, but this passage made me blink. "Chased criminals that they always caught"? Huh? Miami Vice was an *unfathomably* bleak show, in which justice was never really served. That was the whole point of the series!

I have a Tribble--two Tribbles, actually--from the DS9 episode "Trials and Tribble-ations." When Terry Farrell guest hosted Talk Soup to promote it, she brought a ton of them with her. Our set was, predictably, overflowing. (I expect to someday look into my closet and see it teeming with Tribbles.)
We don't usually see each other's headers. Here's mine. Quote post with yours. (Also, please consider adding my weird neo-noir thriller The Divide to your reading list. It earned lovely reviews, including a handful of highly flattering Chandler comparisons, but it never quite found its audience.)
Yesterday on Bluesky, there was a thing going around urging users to pick the most quintessentially 1980s song. I pointedly abstained, because: where to begin? My answer changes by the hour! But today, I'm going to go with Dead Milkmen's Punk Rock Girl: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyaK...
“Once you notice bisexual lighting being used, you can not unsee it” is a discarded lyric from The Dead Milkmen’s (glorious and endlessly quotable) “Stuart.” www.youtube.com/watch?v=fEp0...
Seconded. This piece is almost frighteningly insightful about Silicon Valley and our ongoing tech nightmare.
I'm seeing a cluster of posts about how it's so weird that Billy Wilder was alive in relatively contemporary times, and I'm feeling odd and ancient, because Billy Wilder was a guest lecturer at one of my film classes, and I assure you, it didn't seem at all weird then. (Am I old? I'm old, right?)
Been laughing at this for 45 minutes straight

Do you own any items - individual specific items, not just ones of the same type - that have a cultural significance in some group?
A Trek prop, one of Mulder’s office posters, one of Steve Jobs’ turtlenecks, an animation cel, the spear of Longinus, a pope’s finger bones - anything?
