Sum of what irritates me most about this is that there is actually a place for this standard and it is a place that does not get considered enough. No one‘s novel is that place, no one is gonna die because they found your novel too difficult to go on with.
James Joyce is gonna read this and come back from the dead so he can publish Finnegan's Wake 2 out of sheer spite.
