Can’t wait to get my grubby hands on em Gonna paint a whole set in celebration
Kickin it old school today After hundreds of in-person plays And thousands online Still slaps
I love how ridiculous our artist went with Turxx. The razor blades on the gun. The bullet cases…everywhere. And my favorite detail, the entire toolkit strapped to his shins. In our lore, the self-appointed shamans have a holier than thou connection to the monolith. Turxx is the utilitarian brute.

I hope our satire hits even a fraction as hard as Blanche’s. His art inspired me as a child, and again as an adult child striving to be an artist. Rest in peace.

Turxx was the first piece of Monolith art I saw. This still slaps so hard. Some musings: John Blanche’s 40K art was a touchstone for me in thinking about this design. His absurd and nasty depiction of power (especially the ‘good guys’) was key to 40k working as satire.
