The US have requested that Poland transfers a Patriot battery to the Middle East. Polish Defense Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz responded:
โOur Patriot batteries are used to protect Polish skies and NATOโs eastern flank (โฆ). We have no plans to relocate them anywhere.โ
They will, and theyโre probably not going to like the way they do it lol
We literally threatened to invade a NATO ally THIS YEAR. TWO MONTHS AGO.
It is so striking how all this resembles Covid so much. The primacy of the power of positive thinking, arbitrary deadlines where they announce something out of their control to be over, large portions of media/business believing them, because "wouldn't it be great?"

I think we need an inverse thread where we talk about things that normal intelligent people universally agree upon that are for some reason hot takes within your profession
The actual finding according to the reporting here is more a null result: can't tell one way or the other, can't definitively match. Good reporting might explain the reason. I think it's best to just assume the Daily Mail is subtly or unsubtly lying almost all the time.
What's something that experts/practitioners in your field universally agree upon, but that remains a "hot take" among the general public?
