What about corporate-funded foundations set up by companies with massive conflicts? Like the Global Energy Balance Network or Institute of Grocery Distribution. Universities routinely take their money, and researchers are considered conflict free. How should we address this kind of laundering?

The Citi training I am doing just said CONSORT was to used evaluate the quality of a study. 🫣😭 This is incorrect. Reporting guidelines are not meant to measure quality of a study, but rather provide the a guidance on what information should be shared so we can assess the quality of a study.
