Still winter in northern Ontario but it was warm enough for a quick ride. Chilly but with enough layers it was passable. Hope it's warmer where you are. #motorcycle #indigenous #winter
No trouble at all ... I've had my share of cold weather riding in the late fall and early spring. I've got on two pairs of long underwear, thin sweat pants and jeans along with three shirts, double socks, balaclava, cold weather gloves ... and I'm still chilled! I hope it's warmer where you are. 😀🥶
In my latest column, I write about how everyone on the James Bay coast (and in the far south) is working hard to preserve and practice our traditional culture. #indigenous #firstnations #mushkegowuk #nishnawbe #attawapiskat www.windspeaker.com/under-northe...
Great report that highlights how first nations view economic development. It's not all about money. It's about the people and the land first. Because in the end, it's the land and the people who have to deal with the long term fall out of resource development.
Strange how life works out. I'm sitting in the sun by the water and I just met a young Indigenous man who said he just left prison. He greeted me warmly, said he was trying to lead a good life. I gave him ceremonial tobacco and he put it down while saying a prayer.
