Strange how life works out. I'm sitting in the sun by the water and I just met a young Indigenous man who said he just left prison. He greeted me warmly, said he was trying to lead a good life. I gave him ceremonial tobacco and he put it down while saying a prayer.
"I think reconciliation goes deeper,” said Elder Verna McGregor. “It includes our people, what was done to Indigenous people, but also what we as humans have done to other nations, which is the fish nation, the animal nation, the ones that fly, the ones that crawl, and all of creation, really."

Great day for riding north of Timmins Ontario. I stopped at Driftwood at the end of Highway 655. It used to be a great restaurant stop years ago but the place is empty now. Sad to see the change but it's still a fun destination for a quick ride.
