With profound sadness we announce the sudden and unexpected death of our Editor-in-Chief, Tim Meese.
A founding editor of i-Perception, Tim was a pillar of the vision science community and instrumental in shaping the landscape of scientific publishing in our field.
oohhhh i see it now
and you can always couple it to the environment with A/V inputs that use the same physics as biological sensors
There is no excuse for staying on that platform. To do so is to express a dangerous level of denialism that invalidates any stated interest in democracy or the rule of law. It is despicable that the entire elite layer of society keeps the door open for him to manipulate them and their audiences.
so, like, you think it's about chemistry *per se* - or the fact that there's mechanical exchange ("ongoing chemistry") doing the computation?
e.g. a hydraulic mill could do AGI but not a fixed silicon lattice..?
not that i disagree, but computers are made up of molecules too, and while there's no ongoing chemistry, there's still a very rich e.g. ionic lattice, lots of neat physical stuff going on.
